Who can participate in Chalk Couture™ contests?
Contests are open to Chalk Couture Independent Designers, non-Designer customers, or both, depending on the contest. Each contest will clearly list the specific entry requirements within the details of the event. Entrants are often limited to residents of the United States, ages 18 and older, unless specified otherwise. Contests based on performance (but not purchase) may have eligibility in Canada. Eligibility in the US may be affected by state and local laws.

Can Canadians participate in contests?
Canadian participation may be limited for certain contests due to Chalk Couture’s conservative interpretation of Canadian law. Please watch individual contest information for more details regarding participation by residents of Canada.

Are contests open to the public?
Certain contests may be limited to either Chalk Couture Independent Designers or customers. Please watch individual contest information for more details regarding participants of the contest. Employees of Chalk Couture and their family members are not eligible to win. By participating in a contest, the contestant agrees to be fully and unconditionally bound by these rules and any others listed in the contest’s description.

Can I enter without making a purchase?
Yes, depending on the contest. Some contests may be performance-based contests, which will include specific requirements. If the contest is a giveaway and is not performance-based, but is entered through a consideration such as a purchase, provision of an email or other information, etc. an alternate form of entry may be offered, including entry via email. For such giveaways, entry may be made by sending an email to support@chalkcouture.com. A purchase does not enhance chances of winning.

Are contests associated with any other groups?
Chalk Couture runs contests of their own volition. They are not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with any non-Chalk Couture web page, including social media pages, private companies, or other entities, unless specifically identified as such.

How are winners chosen?
Chalk Couture will make the winner selection process clear at the beginning of the contest. Winners will be chosen and announced in a timely manner, as determined at the start of the contest.

What are the odds of winning?
The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Odds of winning will not be shared publicly or privately.

Are there age restrictions for winners?
Customers or Designers must be 18 years or older to enter. Winners under 18 years of age will forfeit any prize and will not be eligible for future contests.

How will winners be notified?
Winner(s) will be notified using the phone number or email address they have provided, unless explicitly expressed otherwise (such as announced onstage at an event, via a webinar, etc.). Chalk Couture is not liable for a winner's failure to receive notification of winning if they have provided an incorrect phone number, wrong email address, or if email security settings have caused prize notifications to be blocked or sent to spam/junk folders.

Is there a time limit for winners to claim prizes?
Specific time limits may be enforced for certain giveaways. Prizes will be considered abandoned if not claimed within 15 business days from the time of initial contact. After a 15 business day window, if prizes have not been claimed, Chalk Couture reserves the right to select an alternate winner or revoke the initial prize.

How will prizes be delivered?
Depending on the prize(s) awarded, they may be shipped or emailed. For example, if a prize is a coupon, discount, or shopping experience, those details will be shared via email. When prizes are shipped, the individual contest rules will note whether shipping costs will be incurred by the winner or by Chalk Couture. There will be no cash or other prize substitutions permitted. Prizes are nontransferable; however, they may be surrendered without cost or consequence, at the discretion of the winner.

How can I learn who the winners are?
Winners will be contacted directly by Chalk Couture, typically via the phone number or email address they have provided. On occasion, winners may additionally be announced via social media or other means. For a complete list of winners, please email support@chalkcouture.com.

How will I know when a contest runs?
The duration of any contest will be announced on chalkcouture.com, social media pages, in weekly emails to Designers, customer newsletters, or in other formal communications. Chalk Couture reserves the right to revise the contest period at any time without prior notification. All entries received outside a contest period will be disqualified. When specific starting or stopping times are listed, they will be according to the Mountain Time zone.

Is there risk of being disqualified?
Any violation of these rules (as determined at Chalk Couture’s sole discretion) by entrants or winners will result in the winner's disqualification as winner of the campaign, and all privileges as winner will be immediately terminated.

How will disputes be handled?
Disputes will be solved by the Advisory department of Chalk Couture.

Will my information be published if I enter?
By entering contests, the entrant understands and agrees that Chalk Couture shall have the right, where permitted by law, to print, publish, broadcast, distribute, and use in any media now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity and throughout the world, without limitation, your entry, name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness, image, statements about the campaign, and biographical information for news, publicity, information, trade, advertising, public relations, and promotional purposes, without any further compensation, notice, review, or consent.

Are these rules subject to change?
